April 29th marks President Obama’s 100th day in Office. If you recall back in November, I promised we would evaluate President Obama after 100 days. Well here we are! The CNN channel plans to commemorate his 100th day with a big night of programming by looking at last year’s primary and reviewing the general election night. The White House press secretary Robert Gibbs indicated this milestone is not a big event, and they have plans do nothing special; he stated the 100th day is “Not a ton different than the 99th.” Mr. Gibbs is probably correct, it is not a huge event, but it certainly is a point in time to pause and reflect upon President Obama’s performance.
I want you to think hard about the job President Obama has done since taking the oath of office. Think about the challenges he has faced with the economy and how he has dealt with it. Do you think the stimulus package is a good thing for our country? Consider his actions with other world leaders. Has he represented the US well? He set a deadline for the closing of Guantanamo, is that a good or bad event?
I have mentioned only a few items for your consideration, while omitting several others. Feel free to comment on anything as long as it relates to President Obama’s performance. Finally, I want you to give him a grade A,B,C,D, or F and justify why you feel he earned that grade.
Let me pause for a moment and remind EVERYBODY this exercise is one of the great privileges we have as a democracy. We can speak openly about our government without fear of reprisal. Let me also remind you this assignment is not a reflection of your political views. I want you to objectively evaluate the job he has done. Please make sure your opinions are well thought out and well articulated. Above all else, be respectful of others opinions; you may disagree with someone in a polite manner.

I think Obama hasn't done a good job but he hasn't done bad one either. He made a dumb choice about the stimulus package.
I think it was a waste of bllions of dollars. But on the other hand he has done good on going and talking to other countries. He has been making friends with a bunch of countries. So for all those reasons I give Obama a C. Like I said in the beginning he hast done a god job but he hasn't done a bad job either.
I do not think Obama has done too great of a job as president. Here are a few reasons why I think so. Number one he should be more focused on the economy right now. We are looking pretty bad. Also he did not do a good job on the stimulas package. Like Matthew said it was a waste. He is putting in a basketball court in the White House, I mean that is ridiculous. And I do not think he should of closed down Guantanamo. That was a great prison, then no one would take the people. So overall he has done some good things, but some bad things too. I have chosen to give him a D.
I don't think Obama has done absalutely, without a doubt horribly but there are somethings he could have done better. I'm not extremely "up-to-date" on all the political stuff going on. I mean, my parents sometimes tell me stuff that's going on but at my house all we whatch is ESPN and movies so I have no idea what the "stimulus package" is. I agree with Mr. Gibbs when he says that Obama's 100th day in office is important enough to celebrate.
Over all, I would give Obama a C+.
So far, Obama has done not a lot of good things and several bad things for our country. Just recently, a group of pirates were holding a U.S. captian for randsom. Obama didn't do anything to help him. He even wouldn't speak in several meetings. Obama should have sent someone to retrive him, but he didn't. Our president obviously didn't care about a U.S. captain being kidnapped by pirates. Having this happen, I don't think he has done a good job represnting our country.
The stimulas package, I feel, is a waste. It costed a lot of money when our economy is doing this bad. I know the stimulas package is suppost to help us, but it's not. I agree with Claire that it was ridiculas to put a basketball court in the White House. He definitely should not of down Guantanamo. It truely was a great prison. Overall, I give him a D-.
I don't think Obama has done the best job as our president. First of all, he closed Guantanmo. That gave us a lot of information on terrorists. Another thing is that he hasn't done MUCH for the economy, except for the stimulus package, but that has not done much! One thing that REALLY bugs me is him talking to the middle-eastern countries in their languege! Wow....
I think Obama has made multiple bad decisions in the past 100 days and few good choices. These are the bad decisions for example: Trying to get rid of summer break, taking money out of the abortion fund, raising taxes for those who make over a certain amount so the ones who don’t make much get less tax, and those are just a few. But he has handled the economy well, he told the credit card companies they cannot raise the interest rate high, and has made history for the first African American president. We have gone a long way to them being slaves and now to being our president. I would give him a D+ because the bad outweighed the good in his decisions.

I don't think that Obama has done a very good job of being president during his first 100 days in office. But like Matthew said, he hasn't done an extremely horrible job either. He did make some stupid choices one of which was the one about the stimulus package. Even so, he did give the Navy Seals permission to fire at the pirates. That was probably the best thing he did during his first 100 days. On the other hand, he bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia. That made me so mad! And on a stupidity scale from 1-10, closing Guantanamo was about a gazillion and three! From what he has done so far, I find it fairly easy to think that Obama could have accidentally left his brain in Chicago. I give Obama a D-.
I think sometimes he has done a great job but still has a lot to do before becoming a great leader. I think he should have never bowed to the prince even if it was the proper thing to do in that country. First of all he shouldn't have closed the prison. I agree with Claire that was a poor choice. Next I agree with both Matthew and Claire that the stimulus package was a waste. I mean putting a basketball court in the White House for your own personal use was kinda selfish. I give a D- and a D+ for making friends with other countries.
Obama is not really done a good job being president. For the stimulus package, I agree with Matthew it's a watse!

It's a really great prison! He should think about the ecomony, and problems that are happening in USA. Like the pirates that took one of our captains. Obama didn't do anything about it!!! But he has been talking and making friends to other countries. So I'll give him a D. Somethings he did bad, but Somethings he done good.
i think oboma has done a horible job he should be trying to help out with the economy right now but he is not like claire said we are doing pretty bad right now and i agree with matthew too he did not do good on the stimules package .and like claire said he is waisting a lot of mony puting baseball courts in the white house a waist of money but even though i dont like him he has not made all bad choices so i give him a d-

I think that Oboma has made very poor choices with our coutry's money. He should have never thought of the stimulus package. We already are in great dept, and when we grow up if this dosen't work WE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR HIS MISTAKE!!! WE WILL HAVE TO PAY BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO THE GOVERNMENT! Just wait, in a few years our dept will be so big we wont be able to pay them back. And by then other countries could buy our whole country.
I think that we should lock up the the terrorists on GITMO bay should be in a highly guarded prison,but at least they're going in prison.
Although he is a beginner so I should give him some slack.I would give him a D- or a 53 on a number grade.
I think Obama has done an ok job. He has had some ups and downs, like the stimulis package. I agree with Matthew, it was a waste of money. The up side is that it looks like the economy is not going to get to much worse, we may be at the bottom. He has made a bunch of poor chioces like shutting down Guantanamo Bay and possibly letting terrorist go free. He has allowed some companies to use their bailout money for MILLION DOLLAR bonus packages. For all of his work I would give him a B, like I said he has had some ups and downs. We will have to wait and see what will happen over the next four years.
